EE4013/4023 Senior Thesis
Winter 2005 Thesis Topic Selection Form
The Winter 2005 Thesis Topics have been proposed by various faculty members in the Department of Electrical, Computer Engineering, and Software Engineering. Students considering the thesis course should carefully read the list to find topics of interest to them. Subsequently, the faculty member involved should be consulted to determine the full details of the described project.
Students must select (3) three
topics from the Winter 2005 Thesis Topics Selection List and list them in order
of preference. Incomplete forms will NOT be assessed by the
Undergraduate Thesis Examining Board (UTEB). Signatures of the supervisors
will no longer be required, however, it is assumed that you understand the scope
of the project either through discussion (by meeting, email, or phone) with the
supervisor or that you have some knowledge of this particular area of study.
The final allocation of topics to students will be done by the UTEB 'in
consultation' with the supervisors. Every effort will be made to
accommodate your preferences while assuring that each student (local or
PEP/Co-op) gets a fair chance, however, not everyone will get a project
they have requested. Students who do not turn in the forms on time will
have to be content with the project assigned to them. Once the topics are
assigned, Shelley will notify both the student and the faculty of their
allotment by email. It is then up to the student to contact their
supervisor to begin work.
Many topics are for one, two or more students. It is helpful if you
select your own partner but professors may be able to make suggestions of
others interested in the topic, and the UTEB Committee may also assign students
to work together. The UTEB reserves the right to assign any project
to any student as it sees fit.
