Key System Concepts



The following are the key systems concepts embodied in a diagram of the entity classes which reflect the major elements of the NERDS software application.

LevelOneUser- the highest user access level, includes upper management, sales & marksting staff and accounts payable section users
LevelTwoUser- the lowest user access level, includes customer service department, shipping / receiving department and accounts receivable sections users
Customer- the person buying the product from Media Deliveries, having a unique file in the customer database
Publication- the sale object purchased by a customer
SalesReport- the generated list showing sales representing selected search criteria, ie. publication object, sales time frame, etc.
OrderReport- the generated list of total publications to be purchased by Media Deliveries for a particular time period that is sorted by selected vendor
Delivery List- displays all customers unique to a specified geographical route including their addresses and publication selections
CustomerBill- the generated alphabetical forms of all the customers in the database displaying individual outstanding balances, current month's charges, address, etc.
CustomerDatabase- the database that contains a list of all customers and their customer information
