Abstract: The PropelSJ initiative has an ambitious goal to see 32 new information communication technology (ICT) companies clustered in the Saint John area within three years. A key strategy involves harnessing together the fresh ideas of young technologists with the business experience of local corporate leaders. This talk especially considers the roles that UNB, its students, and its faculty could play in achieving this goal. More broadly, the discussion will identify opportunities for developing and sustaining a technological "critical mass" in southern New Brunswick.
