From Project Management to Project Leadership - Leadership in Project Environments
This presentation will discuss crucial elements and skills of project leadership and how they can be applied to project environments of various degrees of complexity.

Dr. Thomas Mengel, PMP is an Associate Professor of Leadership for Renaissance College, at the University of New Brunswick. Before joining academia full-time, Thomas has held various management and leadership positions and worked as a consultant in different European and North American organizations. He also is a member of the Academic Teaching Faculty for the Center for Innovative Management, MBA in Project Management Program, University of Athabasca and the Master of Arts in Leadership Program, Trinity Western University and he has taught at the University of Victoria, Royal Roads University and at Selkirk College.
In his current research, he is particularly interested in how learnings from complexity theory and human spirituality are likely to intersect to influence the development of leaders and senior project managers and in how leadership education does impact the development of both individuals and their immediate environment. Furthermore, he is part of a research team that investigates the value that project leadership does contribute to various organizations across the globe.
