There will be a meeting of the UNB Amateur Radio Club on Friday, October 24, 4:00 pm, in Head Hall, room H106, the Student Development Studio. There is no fee to attend the meeting and everyone is welcome. People without a certificate of proficiency in amateur radio are welcome. The topics of the meeting will include:
A radio contest is a leisure activity. The CQ WW SSB is a significant radio contest that is held once per year. CQ WW SSB stands for calling you, world wide, single side band. SSB refers to voice being used, not morse code. The 2025 CQ WW SSB is from Friday, October 24, 9 pm, Atlantic time, to Sunday, October 26, at 9 pm, Atlantic time. The radio room is in Head Hall.
