I was asked to consider organizing a workshop, or event, for the students. Since the Robert J. Collier VE9UNB Memorial Station has not hosted a radio contest in a few years, I chose the upcoming 2023 CQ WPX SSB Radio Contest. WPX means worked prefixes. VE9UNB is the amateur radio call sign of the station. VE9 is the prefix for New Brunswick.

The HF radio at VE9UNB is a Kenwood TS-450S and a manual is available.
The HF antenna is a Barker and Williamson Folded Dipole BWD-1.8-30 and a datasheet is available.
The VE9UNB DXCC list, sorted by DXCC entity is available.
