Jon Sensinger

I respectfully share that I live as a guest on the unsurrendered and unceded traditional lands of Wolastoqiyik and along Wolastoq (beautiful and bountiful river). I am committed to Piluwitahasuwawsuwakon (a Wolastoqey phrase that advocates for actions toward Truth and Reconciliation) as I engage with Indigenous knowledges, ceremonies, languages, and education for all as guided by Indigenous Peoples of this land. I pay respect to the elders, past and present, and descendants of this land. I honour the knowledge keepers and seek their guidance as I strive to develop closer relationships with the Indigenous people and the land. I hope that I am learning to listen and act in a good way as I try to decolonize my mind and spheres of influence, and knowing that I'll misstep, I encourage others to nudge me back in balance.
